About Gas Strainer
Gas Strainer :-
Gas Line Strainers are designed to entrap and retain foreign matter, dirt, and metal chips that may flow in gas or air supply lines.
These full flow strainers have a line pressure loss equivalent to 3 feet of straight pipe of the same diameter. The bodies are one-piece cast iron with a removal cover. Maximum line pressure rating is 50 psig.
The basket handle fits the top of the cover with a slight spring tension sealing pressure between the basket and the body.
Reliable Gas Filtration for Industrial ApplicationsThis gas strainer ensures optimal protection for your gas pipeline systems by effectively filtering out debris and solid particles. Its epoxy-coated cast iron body withstands harsh environments, while the customizable 40-mesh stainless steel screen adapts to various filtration needs. Designed with a removable cover, routine maintenance and cleaning are straightforward, minimizing operational disruptions.
Versatile Connection and High DurabilityEngineered with flanged ends as per ANSI or DIN standards, the strainer integrates seamlessly into existing pipeline networks. The corrosion-resistant coating and sturdy construction ensure longevity and reliable operation, even under challenging industrial conditions. The indicated flow direction on the body simplifies proper installation, and the blue finish adds a distinctive look.
FAQs of Gas Strainer:
Q: How is the GS-65 Gas Strainer typically installed in a gas pipeline?
A: The GS-65 Gas Strainer is installed at the inlet of a gas line, using its flanged ends that conform to ANSI or DIN standards. The direction of flow is clearly indicated by an arrow on the body to ensure correct positioning during installation.
Q: What types of particles does the 40 mesh screen remove from gas flows?
A: The 40 mesh stainless steel screen is designed to filter out solid particles and debris, such as dust, rust, or other contaminants, safeguarding downstream components in gas systems.
Q: Where can this gas strainer be applied in industrial settings?
A: This model is commonly used in gas pipelines, industrial gas distribution systems, and installations handling LPG, CNG, or LNG. Its robust construction makes it suitable for a variety of demanding gas filtration applications.
Q: What cleaning and maintenance process does the strainer require?
A: The gas strainer features a removable cover, allowing for quick and easy screen inspection and cleaning. Regular maintenance involves removing the cover, extracting the screen, cleaning any trapped particles, and reinstalling the components.
Q: When should the screen mesh size be customized?
A: Customization of the screen mesh size may be requested when gas quality or specific process requirements demand filtration of finer or larger particles than the standard 40 mesh provides. This ensures precise protection tailored to your operational needs.
Q: What are the operational pressure and temperature ranges for this strainer?
A: The GS-65 is rated for a maximum design pressure of 16 bar and operates efficiently within temperatures ranging from -10C to +100C, making it suitable for most industrial gas systems.
Q: What benefits does the epoxy powder coating offer for the gas strainer?
A: Epoxy powder coating provides excellent resistance against corrosion, extending the service life of the strainer, even in aggressive or moist environments commonly found in gas processing and distribution systems.
